Mrs. Sally, Owner and Director
Mrs. Sally leads a wonderful group of Teachers here at Discovery Preschool. Sally began her work with children in her teenage years as a babysitter to many local North County families. After the birth of her first child in 2003, she began to work as a nanny and then ventured into Family Child Care in Vista. Five years after starting the Family Child Care she decided to open Discovery Preschool! She works diligently to support her staff and families as the children in this school learn and grow each day. She offers 24/7 communication with each family and is always willing to support the staff, children and families in any way that she can! With her vast knowledge and education in Early Childhood Education and her pounds of experience raising her own three children, Sally has put her heart and soul into creating Discovery Preschool!
Mrs. Patti, Assistant Director
Mrs. Patti works side-by-side with Mrs. Sally each day as they provide exceptional support for all staff and excellent care for all children. Patti is the proud mother of 2 wonderful children and she also brings with her many years of Early Childhood and Special Education teaching experience. She is warm, loving and fully committed to the programs that we offer. Patti works to support the children, the staff and management each day!
Mrs. Sally and Mrs. Patti lead an amazing team of teachers that are committed to the love, education and nurturing of each child in our school! You can always count on them to be available for anything that you need!
Every Teacher in our school has completed at least 12 units of Early Childhood Education, has a complete background check done and is currently certified to perform CPR and First Aid if needed. All staff in the Infant & Toddler classrooms has the additional units in Infant & Toddler Development.
Our weekly lesson plans are created with care and attention to detail as we help your children meet all of their necessary milestones on the path to Elementary School.
The staff at Discovery Preschool work together to make sure every day enriches your child's life. The teachers here are all highly educated in the field of Early Childhood Education and continue that education regularly.
We provide a warm and caring environment for the children which stimulates and encourages individual growth. Our teachers also offer the children the tools that are necessary in developing a positive self image, consideration for others and learning self control.
We offer an open classroom design that allows the children to move about freely from one activity to the next. With gentle direction, the children can engage in many different things throughout the day. Our wide variety of age appropriate activities include (but are not limited to): creative art, science, dramatic play, manipulative toys, building block areas and a “soft corner” for reading and relaxing. Each day is filled with love, education and fun!
Every teacher in our school plays a vital role in the care, supervision and education of the children we serve. Our teachers work as a team to make sure that every child has the best possible experience in our school. You may see your child interacting with any one of our Teachers as it is part of our company goal to connect with all of the children and families.
